Description of reference object

The Swedish National Agency for Higher Education works with developing so-called suitability tests for various educational areas. The test that Enlight was involved in developing is intended to be used for a selection of educational programs within medicine, healthcare, odontology and veterinary medicine. The test consists of three different sub-tests. Enlight’s work consisted of being a discussion partner in regard to the content of the test and then to design assignments for one of the sub-tests. Enlight was also responsible for testing the assignments in pilot tests. The tests were carried out using Enlight’s software. After that, the data and assignments were processed based on an analysis before the completed assignments were sent to the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education.

Scope and time for implementation

The discussions regarding measurement documentation for the suitability test were initiated in 2004 and the initial design work was carried out in 2006. Since then, several different versions have been created and tested. The project is ongoing.

Through the broad experience in test taking on a large scale, Enlight has been able to fully support the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education in the implementation of the pilot projects. Through thorough training of the test leaders, instructions and a system that is easy to use, the tests have been carried out online in several different locations in the country simultaneously. Through test consultants with broad experience, Enlight has delivered assignments to the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education at the appointed time and documented the development of the content in the domain tests, which guarantees a good process for follow-up and evaluation.
