The yearly conference is one of the largest and most important in the area. This year the BCS are celebrating 10 years of ECDL, hence the Big Birthday Bash being held this year. The event will give you an opportunity to be updated on what is happening in the BCS world, meet and network with your peers and hear what is planned for the future. There will also be leading external speakers giving updates on the National Occupational Standards, regulatory frameworks and funding provisions. He is responsible for the growth and development of ECDL  sales throughout the Midlands, North of England, Scotland and Ireland. He previously spent the last 12 years within the postal and digital printing markets, selling and account managing to clients from within the Commercial and Public Sector across the UK. Prior to selling, he spent 4 years with Finning Caterpillar as a Purchasing Clerk. Phil has a BTEC National Certificate in Business & Finance and when he is not working, he enjoys playing Rugby Union for his local side and playing golf. Mother of Two Becomes 1000th ECDL Student at Dumfries and Galloway College - using Enlight We were pleased to see in the latest BCS Qualifications Newsletter: A mother of two from Stranraer, Leilani Michaelides is celebrating becoming the 1000th person to complete the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) course at Dumfries and Galloway College. Pamela Woods, ECDL tutor at Dumfries and Galloway College’s Stranraer campus, said: "We are delighted that Leilani has become the 1000th person to upskill and achieve the ECDL qualification at the college." "The course is an enjoyable way to enhance existing computer skills, or an ideal opportunity to improve career prospects by gaining an internationally recognised computer skills qualification."
